We spent two weeks in Argentina, visiting four different regions: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, and Mendoza. Rough guides arranged all of our hotels, domestic flights, and local transportation, and helped us with a couple of excursions. We were 100% satisfied with the services they provided: the hotels were all very good; the local guides that met us at each airport were super friendly and helpful; and their WhatsApp service was really responsive - even helped us recover an item of clothing we left in a hotel in Buenos Aires. We will definitely use their services for future trips.

We had an excellent experience with Rough Guides! The absolute peace of mind to know there was someone at your fingertips 24-7 to help with any issues was fantastic! Our local contact even assisted us in navigating the system when I had to see a Dr. Every place we flew to, there was an English speaking driver to meet us at the airport, get us to our hotel and to our excursions. We will definitely use Rough Guides again, I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!

The planning of the trip with the guidance of Maria José from Rough Guides was already very professional, fast and reliable - she really shaped the best possible itinerary with all our requests and wishes for the trip. Once started the trip went from good at lake Titicaca, to great in Cusco to epic at the peruanian Rainforest. I can only highly recommend to plan and execute your travels with rough guides - they know what they do and the service onsite was just fabulous!!! Many thanks to everybody involved!!!

I had a customized trip to South America. We started out in Rio de Janeiro, then flew to Iguazu Falls, Buenos Aires, boated to Colonia Uruguay and left from Montevideo. They arranged just the level of hand-holding that I requested. The only thing I can fault in the entire experience was the final destination of Montevideo. It was the only place we went that rough guides did not provide us with a personal contact person, and the hotel, which was a Wyndham property, did not meet what I expect from a Wyndham Hotel regarding level of finish, it has utilitarian steel doors and a terrible paint job, rooms are stark and poorly arranged, but we did like the location. Breakfast was good, they have a rooftop patio area outside of the breakfast room but they do not allow people to go out there -? the amenities in the lobby and the spa/ athletic equipment, as well as the staff, were fine. The hotel in Rio was fantastic with an excellent location, nice overall finish and good style. The hotel in Iguazu Falls was extraordinary beautiful. The hotel in Buenos Aires was a restored old property, absolutely beautiful public spaces. The Montevideo Hotel was modernistic, well-designed and had a fantastic staff. Overall, the guides and tours provided where exactly what we wanted. We have traveled a good bit and did not want to pay for excessive hand-holding and overly-structure time. The price point was excellent. I will absolutely use rough guides again. Also, extra special Commendation for our driver in Colonia, Fabio, our tour guide in Colonia, and our tour guide in Buenos Aires. All three were fantastic

The trip was perfectly planned. We could always reach our agent if any questions or got lost. Because of the weather some activities got cancelled (i.e. Volcano track in Pucon). But we got two dinners instead. Great support

We did the suggested tour of Lunar Valley and Death Valley followed by watching an amazing sunset at a look out to the desert valley and mountains. This was so different from expectations. Very interesting as the light changed and moved! The salt flats and lakes tour was again very interesting with a multilingual and informative tour guide. We enjoyed the perfect amount of free relaxation time. Again the transfer from San Pedro to Antofagasta hotel was flawless. They truly picked out interesting destinations, Itinerary and choice of hotels and tours were perfect to our given preferences. Everything was worry free.

We were honestly waiting for something to go wrong because it seemed too good to be true! The setup with the mix of organized tours and free days was perfect.
